WHO WE ARE
Blacktip Diving was set up in 2000 by Khun Dam, a native of Koh Pha-Ngan, and is located in the peaceful Tanote Bay on the east side of Koh Tao. Blacktip highlights the natural beauty surrounding the island and focuses on quality, safe and fun diving while protecting the marine environment. The unique dive school was also built to resemble the underwater world, with a beautiful view of the sea. Accommodation is provided in luxurious bungalows that are suited for all budgets.

WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT US?
Blacktip Diving and Watersport Center is a PADI Gold Palm IDC Centre and the only 'GO ECO' Operator on the island. We specialise in small groups, comfortable boats and an eco-friendly operation. Courses are conducted at the students own pace to ensure you will become a safe and competent diver.

Special attractions
  • The local dive site of Sail Rock provides large schools of pelagics, steep walls, rugged rock formations and an awesome 'vertical chimney' swim-through that rises from 18m to 6m. At 18m, buddy pairs can easily enter the cavern abreast and slowly ascend. There's a fracture in this natural flue at 12m which is a great look-out post and is also large enough to pass through. The upper extremity is literally framed by a carpet of vibrant sea anemones heavily populated by groups of pink anemonefish.
  • Another site, Chumphon Pinnacles to the north of Koh Tao consists of one colossal submerged granite monolith and a series of smaller pinnacles rising from a depth of 36m to 4m of the surface. The main attractions here are the resident grey reef sharks and seasonal whale shark encounters.
