Nus, who’s the manager at Kasawari-Lembeh Resort, sent in this image of a goby (Lubricogobius exiguus) laying eggs, which he took at the Jahir dive site right in front of the resort.

Bright yellow goby with equally yellow eggs

In his own words: “I found this goby at about four meters just sitting on a log. When I go closer, I realized that she was laying eggs. With my Olympus 5050, I photographed and watched it for almost 60 minutes, hoping to see some behavior, but she just sat there not moving. Maybe she was tired after laying those eggs…”

Indeed.
