Blue Whales Increasing
Amid the discussions, debates and tensions at the recent annual International Whaling Commission meeting, one seemingly encouraging piece of news emerged. Data presented to the IWC suggests that blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus) numbers in the southern hemisphere appear to be increasing steadily.
