TDEX - Day Two
Today started with an interesting find — a new portable training pool concept from Crea Dist in Phuket. Called Mobideep, this portable pool can be set up in any calm body of water such as a lake, and the built-in filtration system creates a safe environment for scuba training, swimming lessons, or even just relaxing — a novel and intriguing concept worth checking out.
Traffic picked up in early afternoon, with booths of dive operators continuing to be really popular. Two booths near the main entrance to the show floor got a lot of attention today — Seaventures Dive Rig from Sabah and their Thai travel agent Bangkok Dive, and also Thailand Dive Master, which is running a liveaboard out of Labuan now to visit Layang Layang and the wrecks of Labuan.
Also clearly visible from the main entrance was the large space jointly run by Aquamaster and Wahoo Travel.
Located right next to the FiNS booth were two new resorts about to open in North Sulawesi — Sedona Hotel Manado and Kasawari Lembeh Resort. Sedona Hotels International runs 5-star properties around Asia, and will soon be opening Manado’s only 5-star property. Euro Divers Worldwide will manage the hotel’s dive operation.
Kasawari Lembeh Resort will be opening for business soon in Lembeh Strait, and will be a boutique, luxury dive resort catering to the needs of demanding photographers. Located at one of the Strait’s prime dive sites, the new resort is owned and operated by the owners of MV Aqua One. Keep your eye on the FiNS Blog for more updates on these two new exciting options for divers heading to North Sulawesi.
And to round out the day, we were happy to see many smiling faces holding recent issues of FiNS Magazine, like Khun Dam, owner of Black Tip Diving in Koh Tao, and two of our good friends and Celebrity Divers, DJ Aek and Kathaleeya Macintosh.
Tomorrow is Saturday, so no doubt the crowds will grow even bigger, and the show will be even more hectic.
